Charity Partners
As well as many local groups, clubs and campaigns we also work with established and well-known charities across north Wales.
Since Watkin Property Ventures was set up, supporting charities that have an impact on people’s lives has been part of how we work and is our way of giving back to the community where we have lived and worked for so many years.
Awyr Las
Awyr Las is the local NHS charity for North Wales. It helps ensure that people across the region benefit from better NHS services when they need them the most. The charity provides life-changing equipment and services for patients in hospitals and communities across North Wales, from small things like comfortable chairs in the emergency department to the latest technology for the cancer, stroke, and special care baby units.
Cae Doctor
Cae Doctor is a community green space run by Maestryfan Community Group in the Ffriddoedd area of Bangor. We supported the group to develop a green shared space for the community. It has brought people together, created a sense of belonging, and inspired people to learn about nature and growing produce and plants that benefit local wildlife.
Cuddles
Cuddles provides equipment and facilities for the neonatal unit at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd so that staff can provide the best possible care for premature babies in their care. Volunteers give advice and support to families as they face the difficult first months with their premature babies. Cuddles was chosen as the Watkin Property Ventures staff charity for 2023/24.
Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue
The organisation responds to incidents in the mountains and valleys surrounding the Ogwen Valley, Glyderau, and Carneddau mountain ranges in northern Eryri (Snowdonia). The team is made up of 50 volunteers who are on call 24 hours a day. Throughout the year, they are all mountaineers with vast local knowledge and first aid training. Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation was chosen as the Watkin Property Ventures staff charity for 2024/25.
Wales Air Ambulance
The Wales Air Ambulance delivers lifesaving medical care to people across Wales 24/7. They are the only air ambulance dedicated to the people of Wales and rely entirely on charitable donations to keep the helicopters in the air and the fleet of rapid response vehicles on the road. Wales Air Ambulance was chosen as the Watkin Property Ventures staff charity for 2022/23.
