Our Staff Charity of the Year 2026
We are glad to announce that 3 Dads Walking/ Papyrus UK Suicide Prevention has been chosen as the 2025/26 staff charity of the year. The announcement was marked by a visit to the WPV Bangor offices from Mike Palmer, MBE, one of the three dads, along with his companion, Gus the puppy.
Mike shared the incredible journey he, Andy, and Tim have undertaken over the last year, walking across the UK in memory of their daughters to raise awareness of suicide prevention and the support Papyrus UK provides.
Since 2021, together they have walked over 1,500 miles across the UK and have raised over £1.5 million for Papyrus Prevention of Young Suicide.
Their story of turning personal loss into powerful action is really inspiring, and it resonates deeply with many of us who have been personally affected by suicide.
Over the next 12 months, the Charity Committee will be fundraising through various activities and challenges for 3 Dads Walking and Papyrus UK, spreading the message that there is hope and support available. As our nominated staff charity of the year we will share updates of our fundraising on our social media platforms and our community fund website.
