Cheque Presentation to Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue
We were proud to present a cheque for £2,121.60 to Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue, our chosen staff charity of the year.
Over the past financial year, our Charity Committee has organised many fundraising events for staff, friends, and family including bake sales, a step challenge, sweepstakes and a charity walk. As a company, we match-fund the total raised, doubling the final donation to the charity.
This chosen charity and donation is especially important to one of our colleagues, who’s relative was rescued by the Ogwen Valley team after a serious 30ft fall while walking. We are so pleased to be able to give back to a charity that provides such vital, lifesaving support in our community.
The Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Team is made up entirely of dedicated volunteers from all walks of life – experienced mountaineers with exceptional local knowledge, first aid training, and specialist skills in casualty care, emergency driving, and water rescue.
As a registered charity, they rely completely on public donations to keep their life-saving service running – and they were incredibly grateful for our support.
